All of these comments are actually ridiculous and in the words of Eleanor Calder you need to stop being so deluded. First of all the people who are saying “Omg they r nt gaaaay ur the gay 1 ur just a hater omg!!!!!11! ma boyx r straite how dair u.” Why would it matter if they were gay? Love is equal, it doesn’t matter if they’re straight, bi or gay their still people and your opinion of them shouldn’t change based on their sexuality. You can’t know for definite that One Direction are straight, so this ‘article’ isn’t very accurate. None of the boys have ever discussed their sexuality, they have never outright confirmed that they are straight or gay so you can’t jump to conclusions. Just because being straight is like the default, ‘normal’ sexuality it doesn’t mean that’s what they are. Also using gay as an insult doesn’t work because you can’t insult someone by saying the prefer a certain gender. Then, everyone who is saying that true directioners know they’re gay need to stop because one of the reasons the fandom is so stupid is because everyone’s like “Oh you’re a directionator if you think this or you’re a directionator if you don’t know who Paul’s mother’s sister’s aunt’s cousin’s friend’s iguana is.” if you’re a fan, you’re a fan. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion and I’ll take you seriously if you just say “I think they’re straight.” or “I think they’re gay.” Then to the people who are saying that they’re not gay because they have girlfriends.. my god you’re all narrow minded. Some people have girlfriends/beards to hide their sexuality for whatever purposes, some people are married for years and then realise they’re gay. Especially because they’re in an extremely famous boyband, any one of them coming out as gay would not be good for their image and they’d probably lose a lot of fans for it. Having a girlfriend does not in anyway define them as straight, they could be bisexual for all you know. I’m not saying I know for sure if they’re gay or straight or bi or anything but you don’t know they’re straight until they say so, so stop assuming things. Also if you think they’re gay but not gay and they just have bromances then you need to reevaluate the facts because Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles are probably having sex right now.
So anyway, what I’m trying to get at is that you all need to use some logic and stop using gay as an insult/acting like you even know their sexuality when they’ve never discussed it/telling people they’re not true fans/acting as if being gay would be a terrible thing.
