Nicki Minaj ‘Starships’ and album release dates
Comments
It’s all kicking off in the neon pink world of Minaj – after performing to (more or less) the entire country at the USA’s Super Bowl alongside Madonna and M.I.A., Nicki has announced that her second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, will be released on April 3rd.
But that’s not all: love it or loathe it, ‘Stupid Hoe’ isn’t actually the lead single – it was just a teaser. Brand new track ‘Starships’ will be premiered next Monday by Ryan Seacrest and if everything goes to plan you can also download it from iTunes later that day.
And finally *gasps for air* Nicki will perform ANOTHER new song called ‘Roman Holiday’ at this year’s Grammy Awards on Sunday, where she’s nominated for best new artist, best rap performance and best rap album. Sounds like a busy February for the crazy-faced rapper – no wonder she demands so much grub when she’s out and about.
Stay tuned to Maximum Pop! for more on Nicki’s Grammy performance and single release soon.

Don’t Miss: Madonna, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, Cee Lo Green and M.I.A. live on the Super Bowl
Dance breaks, crazy vocal performances and nipple slips – no Super Bowl game is complete without a ridiculous and over-the-top half time performance from a world famous pop star.
Last night team MP! stayed up late to watch the legendary Madonna bring her special 12 minute show to the American game (a game that we learned is a bit like rugby except the players don’t do much and they stop the clock for time outs every 5 seconds) – and whilst we weren’t completely blown away, there’s no denying that it was pretty impressive.
Arriving on the back of a giant Roman army cavalry, Madonna worked her way through some of her greatest hits with the help of party rockers LMFAO and Cee Lo Green, whilst also enlisting Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. for a full cheerleader routine to brand new single ‘Give Me All Your Luvin” – check out the entire thing below!
Breathtaking or floptastic - what did you think of Madonna's Super Bowl performance?

One Direction’s US plans, Alexandra Burke’s ‘Elephant’ video, Beyoncé’s X Factor offer and Madonna’s iTunes exclusive – gossip!
So it sounds like One Direction’s plans to take over the US are going very well – the boys will now release their debut album Up All Night over there on March 13th, a whole week earlier than originally planned. We’re happy for the band, but we’ll be watching from behind a pillow to see how it does, especially when they’ve not even released a single!
We don’t really expect Beyoncé to sit at home resting now that she’s given birth to baby Blue, but even this sounds a bit too far fetched to us. After the news that Nicole, Paula AND Steve are all leaving the American X Factor, rumour has it that Simon Cowell has offered B $500 million to join the judging panel! We’ll believe it when we see it…
After the teaser we showed you earlier, the full Madonna video for ‘Give Me All Your Luvin” has now been released, featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. degrading themselves in cheerleading outfits. You can also pre-order Madonna’s upcoming 12th album MDNA exclusively on iTunes – you’ll even get the single immediately in your library. Welcome to the 21st century baby.
But here’s the real video you’ve been waiting for, recorded straight from a Sky music TV channel in low quality: presenting Alexandra Burke’s ‘Elephant’. There’s dancing, trolleys, and no elephants. Excuse us whilst we go sob quietly in the other room… (Watch the video for yourself here)

Don’t Miss: Madonna – ‘Give Me All Your Luvin” video preview
It’s time to face the facts – the Queen of Pop is back and you’ve got three choices: bow and kiss her feet, raise your pom-poms high and join in or pretend to ignore her reign with your little monster paws held high…
Here at MP! HQ we’re already dusting off our cheerleading outfits and practising our “daggers”. Check out the preview of Madonna’s ‘Give Me All Your Luvin” music video below (featuring Nicki Minaj and ‘Paper Planes’ star M.I.A.) below and keep your eyes peeled for the full thing soon!
