Misha B’s ‘Here’s To Everything’ Video – a sneak peek. POP BITS.
POP BITS. We know you love Misha B. We know you love top secret things. So pop on your shades and stick-on moustaches as we take you undercover for a sneak peek at Misha B’s “Here’s To Everything” video.
This isn’t your run-of-the-mill “sitting down in front of a green screen with a wind machine beside me” job. Over 500 paint powder bombs were used to create some stunning visuals. The ‘Do You Think Of Me’ singer also had to spend 12 hours dancing on a water covered floor with 5 specially trained gymnastic dancers . She also heated things up with a pyrotechnics display and had four firemen on standby in case anything went wrong. It sounds like there will be more action in this 4 minute music video than the whole 143 minutes of ‘Skyfall’. POP BITS OUT.

Misha B – Here’s to Everything: Download or Ditch? – Results!
In 2011, Misha B (or Bryan as she was known pre Kelly Rowland) looked set to steal the X Factor crown, until “Bully-gate” forced her into fourth place. But that didn’t stop Misha. She dusted herself off and released two killer mixtapes, two top 20 singles and supported Nicki Minaj on the UK leg of her Roman Reloaded Tour. It would seem that Misha is thankful for everything that has happened to her and has proposed a toast in the form of her new single, ‘Here’s to Everything (Ooh La La)’.
If Rihanna’s ‘Cheers (Drink To That)’ was thrown into a blender with a pre-Starships Nicki Minaj, this single could quite possibly be the end result. The track is a feel-good, mid tempo song, with a mixture of reggae and pop and some drum and bass beats thrown in for good measure. The catchy ‘Ooh La La’ bit is a sample of a sample (a sample squared, if you like?). It’s taken from the Fugee’s ‘Fu-gee-la’ which is itself a sample of the hook from Teena Marie’s ‘Ooh La La La’.
The song is lifted from her still untitled debut album set for release this summer, which will feature songs co-written by Emeli Sande (who must be dying for a holiday, or at least a day off, by now).
With ‘Home Run’ reaching number 11 and ‘Do You Think of Me’ reaching number 9 in the charts, the pressure is on Ms. B and her new single to chart highly. Does this song have the ‘Ooh La La’ Misha needs for a top 10 hit? Or is it more suited to a Little Mix B-Side?
RESULT: Hurrah! You like it, you really like it. With a resounding 87% of the vote Misha B and ‘Here’s to Everything’ gets the seal of approval and a big round of applause.

Misha B unveils third single, wears nice hat, wins award.
It must be great to be Misha B. Not only is she the winner of Best Hat in Pop in our Fit Awards, she’s also got a brand new single out. Coming off the back of her excellent previous singles, ‘Home Run’ and ‘Do You Think of Me’, X Factor graduate Misha B has gone and released her first ever mixtape (we’re so proud) which features her third single ’Here’s To Everything’.
‘Here’s To Everything’ is pretty much your solid, ‘live your life to the full’ party jam that everyone – yes, everyone, it doesn’t matter how ‘cool’ you are or not – will dance to at a house party. Fortunately Misha’s traded in tired beats and dance-pop beats for some solid squiggly synths and smashing sledgehammer beat to craft a fierce R&B-tinged dubstep anthem that’s both euphoric and effortlessly cool. Simply put, it makes every half-arsed basic dance-lite collab look like something you’d mock up on your school’s music program. ‘Here’s To Everything’ has soul and heart – and plenty of stuff you can dance to.
We love Misha. It seems she has a Midas touch, with everything she touches turning to gold. She loves us too. Following her hat-tastic win on Wednesday, she retweeted us to celebrate.
WOOOOP!!! Team look what you did !!! Love u!!>@maximumpop: BEST HAT IN POP! The winner is @iammishab And what a hat! twitter.com/maximumpop/sta…

You can hear the rough version of ‘Here’s to Everything’ below. Hopefully we’ll get more brilliant hats from Misha in the proper video.
MP!’s Fit Awards – The Results
The Brit Awards 2013 contains far too many dull popstars, and far too many dull categories, so we at MP! have decided to create our own awards. Rather than rewarding dullness, we’re rewarding the things that really matter – brilliant hair, dedication to hats and omnipresent nipples. We’re ready and set to announce our winners alongside the Brit Awards.
- BEST BREAKTHROUGH NIPPLE – HARRY STYLES' THIRD NIPPLE – Well done Third Nipple. You always had this in the bag. You thrashed the other nipples taking 66% of the vote. We hear the nipple is already playing an all-nighter at the Ivy – whether Harry likes it or not!
- FITTEST GROUP THAT AREN'T 1D – DISTRICT 3 – This was our most hotly contested category. Over 2000 votes in this category. First it looked like Little Mix would walk it, then Union J took the lead. But soon it was a two-horse race between District 3 and the Wanted. District 3 won with 720 votes to the Wanted's 646. Well done boys & well done 3eeks!
- BEST BRITISH HAIR – ZAYN MALIK – We'll be honest, we love Zayn, we love Zayn's hair. We're happy this happened. After a brief lead by Max George, Zayn destroyed the competition and taking 639 votes. The way that he slicks his hair leaves us overwhelmed.
- BEST INTERNATIONAL HAIR – JEDWARD – It was always going to be Jedward. Firstly, their hair is iconic. Secondly, no-one takes on Planet Jedward.
- BEST SINGLE – NIALL HORAN – Cheeky little Niall has been breaking hearts the world over this year (including that of Selena Gomez) . Winning 45% of your vote, Niall beat his fellow 1D member Harry Styles into second.
- BEST HAT IN POP – MISHA B – And what a hat! The hat itself was double nominated and battle commenced between Misha B and Little Mix's Jesy who both wore the hat. It was close, but Misha B ended up winning with 38% of the vote. Conor Maynard only got 5.6% of the vote. Perhaps switch to scarfs next year Conor?
- SPECIAL AWARD – GLOBAL SUCCESS IN HATS – OLLY MURS – Because so many of you were (quite rightly) mad at us missing Olly in the 'Best Hat in Pop' category. No-one wears them quite like Olly…
A huge thank you to everyone that voted! We had nearly 7000 votes across all the categories.
MP!’s Fit Awards – Best Hat in Pop
The Brit Awards 2013 contains far too many dull popstars, and far too many dull categories, so we at MP! have decided to create our own awards. Rather than rewarding dullness, we’re rewarding the things that really matter – brilliant hair, odd trousers, fanatical instagramming and omnipresent nipples. We’ll be announcing the categories and the nominees over the next few days and will announce the results alongside the (now largely irrelevant) Brit Awards results on Wednesday.
BEST HAT IN POP
Popstars love accessories. It what makes them popstars and us mere mortals. The greatest accessory of all-time is the hat. That’s a fact. They hide all that amazing popstar hair and help keep all the pop magic in their brains. Here are some popstars wearing hats. But whose hat is the best?
- JESY NELSON – This is an amazing hat. In this picture Jesy has seven eyes. How many do you have? And that's why Jesy is better than you…
- CONOR MAYNARD – No-one is a more dedicated wearer of hats in pop than Conor. We think that's where he keeps his magic pop brain. But Conor doesn't mix it up sticking with the same style which could lose him points in this hat-off
- MISHA B – Controversial second appearance for the eyeball hat. Was Misha B fabulous enough to pull it off better than Jesy? Let's find out…
- RITA ORA – We've seen Rita Ora wear this hat quite a few times. For good reason – it's a very good hat. Hats are just one of the accessories Rita uses in her repetoire.
- ORITSE JLS – Who wants to be a milliner? Oritse does. He wears hats a lot. It's normally just a trilby or a cap. But here he is teasing some of his next hats. We think the fluffy white one would really set off his eyes.
- NATHAN SYKES – Nathan triples up on hats here in a blatant attempt to triple up on votes. But lack of originality might cost him dearly.

Misha B covers Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’
Here’s Misha B covering Rihanna’s most recent chart topper ‘Diamonds’ injecting some soul into the tune with this part mellow and part snarling interpretation. And although we think there are probably better songs Misha could’ve stripped of their massive production, her effortless, enchanting voice had us from the first note. Misha’s new single ‘Do You Think Of Me’ is released November 4th.
Mutya Keisha Siobhan – five things we’ve learned!
So, the original Sugababes have reformed, but of course they can’t call themselves Sugababes because that’s still Heidi, Jade and Amelle (except when it comes to stationery and gift wrapping, but we’ll ignore that because frankly this is making our heads hurt already). What matters is that Mutya, Keisha and Siobhan – the ice cool trio who scored early Suga-hits ‘Overload’ ‘New Year’ and ‘Run For Cover’ – are back, back BACK!
Now trading under the imaginative band name Mutya Keisha Siobhan, they’ve been secretively working on new material for the best part of a year now and we’re finally close to hearing the first fruits of their labours. Here are five things we learned from their first ever post-reformation interview with the ever-wonderful Popjustice.
The album isn’t out until 2013
Boo! But there is a new single pencilled in for November. Does this mean an X Factor performance could be on the cards? That intro-video would certainly be interesting…
They’ve been working with some interesting people
Teen production whizz MNEK, who co-wrote ‘All Fired Up’ for The Saturdays and ‘Home Run’ for Misha B, is one such interesting person. Others include ex-Blazin’ Squad members Mojam, Spice Girls wizard Biff Stannard and Girls Aloud architects Xenomania! OMG!
Some song titles ‘n’ stuff
‘Drum’ – a repetitive dance track inspired by Rihanna
‘Back in the Day’ – a TLC-esque early 90s jam
‘Too In Love’ – the first song they sang together on since the One Touch days
‘Love Me Hard’ – written with Biff and former Triple 8-er Iain James. Remember Triple 8?
Siobhan’s favourite post-One Touch Sugababes song is ‘Stronger’
She also likes ‘Freak Like Me’. The girls are open to performing songs from post-Siobhan incarnations at their gigs. We wonder what Heidi, Jade and Amelle will make of that?
They wouldn’t say no to a Girls Aloud duet
But they’re not – unsurprisingly – so keen on the idea of getting together with the current Sugababes lineup.
Overall it sounds like the MKS “project” is going pretty swimmingly so far, and the girls are determined not to repeat the mistakes that saw them fall apart the first time around. With some seriously cool producers on-board and fan excitement at fever pitch, this is bound to be one of the most interesting comebacks of the next 12 months. We do sort of hope the “other” Sugababes come back with some goodies too though, there’s plenty of room on pop’s playground after all, and a good old fashioned chart battle could be just the thing to boost record sales for both groups.
Are you on team MKS, or will Heidi and co always have your heart? Have your say in our comments section!
Misha B interview – a quick chat to talk Missy Elliott collab, upcoming album and Little Mix
What can we expect from the Misha B album experience? Any collaborations we’ll be surprised by?
It will be fresh, fun & adventurous! You’ll have to wait and see but I’ve had an amazing time recording it so that will come through in my music.
We saw Missy Elliott sent you a tweet? Can we expect something with her?
Yes, hopefully! I’m a huge fan of hers and her support has been mind-blowing! We’d both like something to happen so we’re talking… watch this space.
There are a few new girls on the pop block at the moment – Rita Ora, A*M*E, Little Nikki. What do you think of them?
They’re wicked. I saw Rita Ora at Hackney and she’s brilliant!
Are you still in touch with anybody from The X Factor?
Yes, I still keep in touch with the Little Mix girls; we caught up at a management party the other week. Marcus, Johnny (I LOVE Johnny, he makes me laugh!). And Kelly, of course, we spoke just the other day.
Finally, do you have a message for your fans reading Maximum Pop!?
Thank you for all your support.
Misha B will be supporting Nicki Minaj on her upcoming Pink Friday: Reloaded tour.

Little Mix, Marcus, Amelia Lily, Misha B… How The X Factor 2011 lot measure up
Comments
With Amelia Lily’s single out in the open and Misha B due to release ‘Home Run’ this weekend, now seems like a good time to take stock of last year’s X Factor crop and see how everyone’s faring. The 2010 run of the show proved particularly fruitful, with Rebecca Ferguson, One Direction, Cher Lloyd and Aiden Grimshaw all equalling and, in many cases, bettering winner Matt Cardle; and with the 2011 group firing out the traps particularly early, let’s see how they line up…
GOOD NEWS: CONTAINS NO MATT CARDLES
Misha B ‘Home Run’ – Alarm Pop!
Comment
X Factor 2011 contestant Misha B has unleashed a stunning video for her debut single ‘Home Run’, and we’re making it our Alarm Pop song of the day.
The song begins with Misha showing off her impressive vocals over a smooth piano that reminds us of Beverley Knight (ask your older sister). However, this sedate intro quickly mutates into something altogether more attitude-packed and moody (much like Misha herself!) and sees the Manchester girl singing and rapping over beats produced by the multi-talented MNEK.
As for the video, we particularly like the ‘Misha B’-branded eyelashes, a blingtastic ‘Homerun’ gold ring that impractically spans three fingers and the scary glow-in-the-dark neon make-up. Check it out here!
