MP! TV Presenter Luke Franks To Host The Voice LOUDER. POP BITS.
POP BITS. Forget the whole Olly leaving the Xtra Factor debacle and worrying about who’s going to keep Caroline away from the contestants now, there is a new singing competition host in town. Luke Franks has just been announced as the host of The Voice LOUDER- we’re not shouting this, it’s actually how it’s spelt. Luke has worked with us here as the host of MP! TV for quite some time and we are delighted that he will be dominating computer screens across the country. The Voice LOUDER takes you backstage to see the reaction to the results as they happen as well as the hilarious highlights from the show. We are delighted for Luke and will definitely be tuning in every week. POP BITS OUT.
Charlie Brown interview for MP:TV
We caught up with Charlie Brown in a pub last week and got the chance to ask him some questions. It transpired that not only is he the owner of an incredibly awesome pop tune (which is called ‘On My Way’ and is in ‘the shops’ to buy now) he’s always an jolly likeable chap. Fresh from supporting Dappy on tour and about to support Craig David on the UK dates of his tour, you’ll probably be seeing a lot of Charlie Brown over the next few months.
Ebony Day ‘Breaking YouTube’ sessions – MP!TV
You may remember when MP!TV’s Luke Franks met up with bright young thing Ebony Day and took her to a farm? All in all Ebony rated the experience 0/10 which was a little unfair, but she also sing some songs for us. If you head over to our YouTube channel now you can see her take on ‘Kiss You’ by One Direction as well as her own original song ‘Gone’.
We look forward to bringing you more interviews and performances on MP!TV in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
Cover Drive sing Twilight acoustic for MP:TV
Comment
MP! mascot started his work experience by meeting Cover Drive a couple of weeks ago, and managed to film them singing their cover of Jessie J’s ‘Domino’. He earned himself £20 and three biscuits for that. But it turns out that’s not ALL he filmed – Cover Drive also treated Thing to an exclusive acoustic version of their brand new single ‘Twilight’.
Losing all the Top 40 production and letting the sweetness of the song shine through, prepare to fall in love with this version of the band’s second single which won’t be available on iTunes on Sunday…
However, you can download the original version of ‘Twilight’ from iTunes in about 48 hours – and check back Monday to read our hilarious Big Interview with the band where they talk Bajan phrases, Nando’s spices and celebrity crushes.
Cover Drive sing Jessie J’s Domino for MP:TV
Comments
Yesterday MP!’s mascot started his first day by hanging out with Bajan superstars-in-the-making Cover Drive. The lucky thing. After getting all the goss – they told him of their love of dogs, shopping and tea* – the band then serenaded him with a rendition of Jessie J’s Domino. By the look on his face, Thing, wasn’t that impressed. But we were – their spot-on cover has been on repeat at MP:HQ all morning. Who knew Jessie J could be so listenable…
We’ll have another exclusive Cover Drive performance next week.

MP! presents: Finish The Lyrics with Ronan Parke!
Comments
Ronan Parke is currently gearing up for the release of his debut album, featuring covers of classic poptastic tracks like ‘A Thousand Miles’ and ‘Forget You’ and we got the chance to meet him!
Instead of asking him the same old questions, we thought we should stir things up a bit and have some fun – so we challenged Ronan to our Finish The Lyrics game!
Ronan had to try and complete as many lines from famous songs as he could – how do you reckon he did? Do you think he knows his Gagas from his Adeles, or will his mind go blank?!
There’s only one way to find out! Watch Ronan Parke Finish The Lyrics below!
The T4 Presenters battle to be the winners of the MP! pop quiz
They present all the music and celeb news to us over the weekend, but how much of that information do the T4 presenters actually remember?
MP! put them to the test with our Pop Quiz, in which the Old Guard of Nick Grimshaw and Jameela Jamil took on T4 Newbies Will Best, Georgie Okell and Matt Edmondson to prove who knew the most about pop culture.
We won’t reveal the winner, but we will say that if you watch to the end, Matt Edmondson drops a juicy bit of gossip about One Direction’s Harry Styles having a crush on one of the T4 girls! The story is actually quite funny (and adorable – Harry is quite the gent!) so it’s worth tuning in for. Watch now, below:
