MP! loved psychological thriller Torn by Cat Clarke but did you? Let’s find out. We read it, you read it and Kirsty Clift and Alexandria Morison read it. Take a look at what they thought and then utilise the comment functionality to let us know why you massively disagree. For those of you not familiar with the Book Club – we all go away and impress our parents by reading an MP! endorsed title – and then come back and have our say on the highs, lows and bits that made you punch yourself in the ear, or the air in glee.

I really liked the fact that, even though the main character was going through a lot of stress because of what she had done, she was still easy to relate to. While I was reading it, I felt like if I had been in the same situation, I would have done very similar things to what she did.
The only thing I disliked was that the book wasn’t even longer, I couldn’t find a bad point in it at all!
Definitely, I’ve never read a book with a bigger cliffhanger than the one it left me on. If a second book was released I’d definitely read it to find out what happens next!
Definitely, it’s one of the best books I’ve ever read. I’ve already recommended it to a few friends.

What I liked about Torn is that it was realistic but, what happened in it wouldn’t happen on a daily basis! It was written very well and got into your brain and I literally couldn’t put it down!
The only problem about the book I had was the fact that it suddenly ended!
The story line was so gripping and you just wanted to know the life of Alice King more and more! I would love a second book to come out so the story can continue and more adventures can be had and what would happen next!
As soon as I finished the book I lent it to a friend who wanted to read it and we both finished it in record time. It is such a good book and Cat Clarke is now one of my favourite authors!
